Jo and Matt asked us to transform their mid terrace family home in Wandsworth, London, to provide a contemporary design aesthetic that complements and enhances the original building whilst allowing them to enjoy a modern day lifestyle. Jo and Matt’s occupations require space for networking and socialising, and so an enlarged open plan living/dining area and an additional guest bedroom were key components of the brief.
By remodelling and extending the ground floor, we created a large light filled kitchen and dining area, that maximised the amount of light entering the house, whilst also creating a strong connection the garden through a set of bi-fold doors.

This project worked through a number of different options for remodelling an existing kitchen/dining area into a more functional space that separated the utility area from the main kitchen space, created a small dedicated study space, and maximised the relationship with the garden. The client also wanted room for a downstairs W.C, and space in the kitchen for an American style fridge.
