The team were delighted to be awarded a commendation by RTPI Yorkshire for the recently adopted Wakefield Residential Design Guide. This is the second time in two years our work has been recognised at the RTPI Planning Excellence awards, with the Cottingham Neighbourhood Plan and Design Guide being commended in 2017. 

The judges praised the work for its promotion of sustainable, healthy, accessible and inclusive places through well-presented and understandable supplementary planning guidance. 

A big thank you to Sarah Broadstock and Ellie Shouer who have now moved on but made an invaluable contribution to the project.
