We are pleased to have started working with Wickersley Parish Council on the development of a Neighbourhood Plan for the area.

To date over 300 representations have been made by residents and local stakeholders through several recently completed engagement exercises. We are currently digesting the results of these exercises and will report the key findings back to the project group in September. Following this, the group will establish a vision for Wickersley along with aims and objectives that respond to the outcomes of the community engagement.

We will also be undertaking sites visits to help inform a design code for Wickersley. A renewed emphasis has been placed on achieving high quality design and additional grant funding is available for Neighbourhood Planning groups wishing to include design codes in their Plans. Residents and Parish Councillors are keen to ensure new development is both sympathetic to the defining characteristics of the area and reflects the best in design and placemaking.
